The statement below is in regards to the disqualification of Jennings Herman and the 1H car in the Super Stock 4 division on June 26th.
After further review by the Technical staff, it has been determined that the disqualification of the 1H car is not valid and has been overturned.
The disqualification decision was based on an erroneous tolerance specification of the exhaust valves. This means that the exhaust valves in the 1H car driven by Jennings Herman are within tolerance, and therefore are legal. The tolerance discrepancy has been addressed in the Stock 4 and the Super Stock 4 division rules.
The management and staff at East Lincoln Speedway work very hard to make sure that decisions of this nature are made correctly. Questions related to this issue can be directed to East Lincoln Speedway Technical Director Keith Frye or General Manager Shawn Parker.
