GASTOINA, NC - Short track racers that compete at Carolina Speedway and East Lincoln Speedway will get some extra exposure for 2010 with the announcement that WGNC AM 1450 will host a weekly radio show titled ‘Red Clay Tuesday’.
The show will air live each Tuesday night start in March from 6-7 PM. The hour long show will be broadcast at different locations around Carolina Speedway and East Lincoln Speedway. In addition to ‘Red Clay Tuesday’ WGNC will also air live events from both tracks at selected events.
“We are thrilled to be able to announce the new show and partner with WGNC,” said Clint Elkins, who promotes both facilities. “This is a way to expose a bigger audience to what we all enjoy every weekend.”
‘Red Clay Tuesday’ will be a fan participation show. There will be a special guest every week and fans on site will be able to do question and answer forums with the hosts and weekly guests.
“We want to connect the local racers with the fans, and have the fans connect with the advertisers in order to build a strong and lasting relationship,” said host Joe Sellers. “The local race track is a great place to spend an affordable evening with family and friends. As a local radio personality, I want to make sure everyone knows these two tracks are the best. We hope it promotes growth at the track in the way of people in the stands each week, it also promotes sales for the advertisers on the show in their businesses,” added Sellers.
