Today, Ray Evernham and Bob Mack announced several management changes at the East Lincoln Speedway. Shawn Parker has been appointed General Manager effective immediately. Former Promoter and Facility Director Clint Elkins has elected to focus on continuing to improve Carolina Speedway and working on other projects inside the motorsports industry.
Parker, a native of Avon, Massachusetts has been involved in various forms of racing as both a driver and in a marketing management capacity for many years, and founded the Dirt Track Racing School in Charlotte, NC in 2008. He holds bachelor degrees in Marketing and in Economics from Boston University and a Masters degree in business from the University of South Carolina.
“I am pleased to be adding Shawn to our team” said Evernham. “He brings diverse racing, marketing and business experience to the East Lincoln Speedway, and will help us continue on our path to make it a great place for fun, low-cost family entertainment. I would also like to thank Clint Elkins for the significant contributions he made in helping us get East Lincoln going in 2009, and I wish him all the best with his future ventures.”

Assisting Parker will be Kerrianne Izzo who comes to comes to East Lincoln from LaSalle Speedway in LaSalle, IL, where she has been the promoter and facility manager for over 15 years
In addition, 2009 Race Director Shane Kline has informed the speedway that he will only be able to work in a part time capacity in 2010. Management is actively seeking a new Race Director to take on the full time roll. Interested parties should submit their resume to shawn@elspeedway.com
About The East Lincoln Speedway: The East Lincoln Speedway is a 3/8 mile red clay track located off Mariposa Road in Lincoln County, NC, just minutes from the Lake Norman area. The track typically operates from April through September and racing is held on Saturday evenings. Admission is typically $10 for adults, children 10 and under are free. Pit admission is $20.
